Balakrishna game: the NBK meme game, in every spelling

Who is Balakrishna (NBK)?

Nandamuri Balakrishna is a veteran Telugu film star and the son of the legendary actor N. T. Rama Rao. Fans call him NBK, Balayya or Balayya Babu, and cheer "Jai Balayya". His larger-than-life action scenes and powerful dialogue delivery made him one of the most meme-friendly heroes in Telugu cinema.

Those scenes inspired a long-running joke: Balayya can defy physics, stop trains and even fly. Flying Balaya turns that joke into a quick arcade challenge. It is a tribute made by fans, not an official Balakrishna product.

Balaya, Balaiah, Ballaya: one game, many spellings

Telugu names are written in English in several ways, so searches for this game come in many forms. On this site they all mean the same game:

• Balayya game, Balaya game, Balaiah game, Ballaya game, Balaiya game, Balya game: common English spellings of బాలయ్య.
• Balakrishna game and NBK game: his full name and initials.
• Balayya Babu game and Jai Balayya game: the fan nickname and the famous cheer.
• Bayala game: a frequent typo that still means the same game.
• బాలయ్య గేమ్: the name in Telugu script.

Is there a new Balayya game?

Searches like "balayya new game" and "balaya new game" usually mean people want the latest version. The game on this site is updated in place, so the home page always has the current version. The newest addition is a character switch: next to Balayya you can now pick Flying Allu Arjun, an unofficial fan-made version with an original cartoon hero.

Signed-in players can also create custom versions with their own artwork and share them; popular ones appear on the leaderboard on the home page.

How to play Flying Balayya

Flying Balayya is a one-button flying game that runs in your browser. Open the game on the home page, choose Play game and wait a moment for the assets to load. The run starts with sound muted.

• Lift: press Space, Arrow Up or W, click, or tap the playfield. Each press gives one upward push; holding a key does not keep lifting.
• Gravity pulls the character down between inputs, so use spaced taps rather than frantic ones.
• Score: you earn one point for every bottle pair you fully pass.
• Game over: touching a bottle or the ground ends the run. Choose Play again to start from zero.
• Pause with the Pause button or Esc; switching tabs also pauses the run.
• Your best score is saved in this browser on this device. It does not sync between devices.

Playing with sound

The game starts muted so it never surprises you in public. Use the sound button below the playfield to hear the music and crash effect. If you still hear nothing, check your device volume and whether your browser allows the page to play audio. Muting never changes your score or controls.
